Wildfire Credit Union · Saginaw Township, Michigan · Bay City, Michigan

 

Wildfire Credit Union (formerly Communications Family Credit Union) is building two new branches in Saginaw Township and Bay City. When completed, these new buildings will have 5,300 square feet of floor space. The Saginaw Township location is scheduled for completion in July of 2010, and the Bay City location is scheduled for completion in September of 2010.

The following is quoted from a Wildfire Credit Union Press Release:

Wildfire Credit Union announced they have recently purchased property to build a branch in Saginaw Township.

The 5,000 square foot branch will be built on the corner of State Street and Midland Road.  Timothy W. Benecke, President and CEO of Wildfire stated:  “the credit union has been researching and considering a branch in Saginaw or Thomas Township for the past several years.  The availability of the property at the corner of State Street and Midland Road, provides us with the best location to serve our members in both townships.

Construction is planned to begin in September with an opening date around June 1st, 2010.  The branch will feature the design that the credit union adopted with their Midland branch and is currently constructing at the Bay Road office.  These branches do not feature the traditional teller line; instead they offer personal transaction centers where members can transact their business one-on-one in a more confidential environment.  This office will also feature a full range of services from deposits and loans to business and investment services.  Other features that the office will provide include a warm, welcoming interior with an internet café.  The exterior will feature a building that compliments the location and will provide a drive-up ATM, four drive-thru lanes and a tree-lined landscaped lot.

Wildfire Credit Union currently operates their main office at 6640 Bay Road, a branch in Midland at 100 Joseph Drive and their school branches at Heritage High School and White Pine Middle School.

The credit union, with over 32,000 members, has a strong commitment to the community and to the Great Lakes Bay Region.  Anyone who lives, works, attends school, or worships in Saginaw, Bay, Midland, Genesee, Shiawassee, Tuscola and Gratiot counties can join Wildfire Credit Union.
